Companion app stopped working

I’m having a similar issue where the companion just stopped working. I’ve deleted and reinstalled, rebooted computer, took out the Ant, unplugged kickr and no luck. Is this common? Can you please help?

I’m still not able to use the Zwift companion app. Is that what you are calling Zwift click?
I can’t use ERG mode either. Can you please help?

So I can pair with my power meter, resistance, cadence but the Zwift Companion app does not load any map, shows my data or nothing!

Hi @Mere_McKinney thanks for the clarification! No, you joined a discussion about the Zwift Click controller that allows virtual shifting on trainers that support that function, so I’m going to split this conversation to its own topic.

The smartphone running the Companion app and the computer / tablet / AppleTV that runs the main Zwift app both need to connected to the same WiFi signal.

If the Companion app is having difficulty “finding” the main app, it almost always is because they don’t see each other on your home network. Let’s start by having you power off your cable modem and WiFi router (in that order) and power them back on. Sometimes, rebooting the router is the only thing that’s needed.

There are some other things that can cause your two devices to not “see” each other even if they start off on the same WiFi network They include:

  • If your WiFi signal is weak and your phone automatically cuts over to cell data - then the phone is no longer on the WiFi network.
  • If your computer (or phone) is running a VPN. That isolates that device from others on your WiFi network.

Other known issues are on our Support site. Please read through those and check if they might apply to you?
