I am on the second week of the FTP builder plan. Every time , I’d start my workout then launch the Companion app on my iPhone and it would switch to the map, I could give ride ons, pick routes etc
Today, nothing happened. Companion app started just fine but never switched to the map.
Is there a way to fix this?
PS: My iPhone iOS version: 18.4
This is a classic sign of your phone and whatever device on which you’re running Zwift not being on the same network. Have you checked your devices to ensure they are all connected properly?
I think so.
My laptop is connected to my wifi, so is my iPhone. I don’t have any other network. VPN on my phone is turned off. Same for personal hotspot.
I have not changed anything in my setup for quite a while.
I just noticed a “connection failure” error message that popped up for a second on the screen of the Zwitt app itself. Not Companion app. Message is gone. I wonder if it’s related.
I just had to had the same thing happen today. I updated Zwift app on my iPad and iPhone just before joining a group ride today. Checked to see if there was an update for the companion app but didn’t see once. Started the ride on my iPad and launched companion all on my phone and it wouldn’t connect to the ride. Tried restarting etc. Had to do the ride without companion app.
I did the same as you. Deleted/re-installed Companion app. No change. My iOS version on my iPhone is 18.4. What’s yours?
I’m on 18.3.2. Haven’t run the 18.4 update yet
This is a screenshot on an error message I am getting as well. It pops up for 1/2 second and goes away. May be relevant.
I went ahead and disconnected my trainer before reconnecting it. Now, Companion app is working.
Thanks Chris. I wasn’t getting that error but I’ll try disconnecting everything and see if that resolves it.
