Companion App Random Disconnect

I use a laptop (Windows 10) for Zwift and an Android for Companion App. I have a random issue where sometimes when I either join an event or a pace partner, my Companion App will disconnect, even if it was functioning just fine in whatever event/ride I was in before. I have not been able to figure out any sort of pattern. I’ve heard that this could be related to wi-fif, but it seems totally random. Any thoughts?

It can be that your phone is switching between 2.4ghz and 5ghz and mobile data.

Try disabling the Wifi Assist function on your android phone, it might be trying to switch to mobile data if the wifi signal is weak.

Go into “airplane mode”, followed by switching WiFi on the phone on. (EDIT - see also the replies above! LOL)
