Yesterday I led a group ride on the Two Village Loop route in Makuri Islands. On this route you will pass one of the rare viewpoints on Zwift. This is where the camera zooms out automatically to show the scenery and zooms in again after a short while, like at the top of AdZ. At the Two Village Loop route the viewpoint is at a hidden lake on a dirt road not far from the old water mill. Beautiful scenery there!
As we passed the viewpoint a rider who was in Coffee Stop mode at that time reported via chat, that the Coffee Stop had been interrupted while entering the viewpoint so she got dropped from the group. Obviously, the viewpoint zoom technique is not compatible with Coffee Stop? Has anyone else noticed this?
Hi @Thomas_Nuthmann, this is Norman, and thanks a lot for sharing what your group went through. It sounds interesting but it’s hard to tell if it’s a bug.
It’d be a good idea to confirm if maybe there was confusion between the 30-second and the 3-minute coffee stop, or maybe the pedals were moved by accident ending the Coffee Stop immediately.
If your folk are convinced that this was a bug, it’d be great if the affected Zwifter could get in touch with us so we could investigate and prevent it from affecting more members of the community.
I can tell that it was not a 30s/3min misunderstanding. We had been more than 30min into the 60min ride and been in the 15min Coffee Stop window between 30min and 45min into the ride.
I can’t tell if the pedals had been moved by accident (but I doubt it) and I have no way to contact the affected rider to get a confirmation.
