Try a different USB port on the Mac. On the Zwift pairing screen is the ANT + icon active in the upper left hand corner? I’m guessing from what you are saying that the speed and cadence sensor is the Wahoo Blue S/C.
HI - already tried a different port. No = the ant + icon does NOT show. It’s not a Wahoo… bought it on amazon
also - this device does not show in finder…
did i buy an adapter and not the stick - geezzzzzzz
and if so, what exactly do I need. I don’t want to make any more mistakes…
What is the make and model of the speed and cadence sensor?
It looks like the Ant+ and USB extension are correct. I am not a Mac guy so I don’t know exactly we’re to look to see if the drive is installed for the dongle.
This is an example of what you need and it looks like your should work: https://shop.zwift.com/products/zwift-ant-starter-pack
both sensors are Garmi
Post a pic of your pairing screen.
Sounds like your Mac has not recognised the ANT+ dongle.
This could be, old or incorrect drivers - How old is your Mac?
File system structure being case sensitive.
USB port compatibility - usually computer age related.
okay… that’s possible it’s an early mac air 2014
Hi Giuliana, if you have Garmin Express running, try closing it before running Zwift. It could be hijacking the ANT+ stick/adapter and preventing Zwift from accessing it and scanning for sensors.
I’d guess your Mac should be fine – I was running Zwift for a while on a 2009 MacBook Pro. Pretty low frame rate, but didn’t have any trouble with the ANT+ adapter once I closed Garmin Express.
I agree with both above, it seems like your Ant+ dongle is not being recognized by your Mac. I would think if it was the Garmin Connect program interfering with it some how you would get a pop up when you open Zwift, that is what happens on a PC.
thank you both so much. I will give this a try!
