Cannot connect to controls

I just purchased my brand new wahoo kickr v6 - when I connect to zwift it connects power sources, resistance and cadence, but when I click controls - nothing comes up.
I have followed every tip to resolve this for the last two hours with zero luck. Please help :downcast_face_with_sweat::downcast_face_with_sweat:

What controllers do you have? Zwift play controllers? If you dont have any then you dont need to pair anything in the “controllers” section on the screen. The kickr trainer will just be resistance, power and cadence.

Ok thanks - I did one ride and I was stuck in the highest gear the entire ride. No resistance automatically added in line with the gradient. Is this normal??

If you are trying to use virtual shifting (via Click or Play controllers) then you will likely need to update your Kickr’s firmware before you can connect the controllers.

And check the firmware on the controllers as well.

For the Kickr, use the Wahoo app to check for firmware. For the Zwift controls, see the Zwift Hardware menu in the Companion app.

After reviewing your profile, I noticed that you recently updated the firmware on your trainer, which is a great step in addressing this issue. Additionally, if you were riding in a workout, ERG mode might have influenced how resistance is applied. I also suggest checking your Trainer Difficulty, they may be set too low, reducing the impact of gradient changes.

If the issue continues, I recommend testing your trainer in the Wahoo app to see if the resistance issue occurs there as well. This will help us to aisle the issue.
