Calibration Time Out

I´m having this issue but can´t find anything recent around this problem.
I just can´t calibrate properly my smarttrainer.
Anyone with the same issue???
Ideas???

Which trainer and how are you calibrating it? Always use the trainer manufacturers app to calibrate unless you have no alternative. Zwift should not be used to calibrate trainers.

I´ve always calibrate my trainer with the zwift calibration tool, with no issues.
I´m using a Elite Suito.

Hello @Carlos_Cunha

Shuji at Zwift HQ here.

As Paul recommended, it’s best to calibrate your trainer with the manufacturer’s app. This is a thread on Elite’s forum that may be useful.

Hi, i am having the same issue after the latest zwift update. Cannot calibrate on zwift, just goes straight to step 4 and says time out. There is no resistance in game, ERG mode doesn’t work either. I have calibrated using Elite app and it made no difference to Zwift. My partner is using a Wahoo Kickr, also did the update and also cannot calibrate. I am waiting for Zwift team to get in touch with me. Did everything the ambassadors said but did not fix the problem.

Don’t calibrate twice. The calibration in the Elite app is all you need. If there’s a problem after that, more calibrations won’t help

The issue is, it doesn’t let you do it. I do the spin downs every few weeks, was always under the impression that was the done thing? Or what is the point in it?

If calibration doesn’t work in the Elite app, contact Elite. The calibration is saved to the trainer so you never need to use Zwift for that.

Thanks Bethany.
Glad to know i´m not the Only one and that happend after the zwift update.

I manage to calibrate the Elite Suito with the Suito app called “myETraining”. There is a calibration section there. I´ve also compared the power values after the calibration with the power from my Assioma pedals and they both match, so no problems with the power values.

I cannot tell you if in ERG there is any issues, but i have the in game resistance working just fine.

I have the same issue, since what seems the update.

I also have an Elite Suito, and ERG mode is not responding at all.

Furthermore, if I turn off ERG mode, I cannot reach a power beyond 180 or something, which is normally Z1 for me…

I have tried callibrating the Elite Suito again (twice) through their own app. Seemed to go fine.
Still issues.

Also, cannot use the calibration of Zwift. Which I used to be able to.

Do not calibrate in Zwift. Use the MyETraining app.

Also try the “Level Mode” in MyETraining to see if you can manually ramp the resistance up and down ok on your Suito.

Thanks for the reaction. I did the calibration in the MyETraining app, and not in Zwift since I read some comments. Also tried Level Mode, but still ERG mode wasn’t working properly and power values seemed off.
I will try to look at connectiontype next time (BT/ANT) and if any devices were interfering…

Once calibrated, ensure the device used for calibration is disconnected. Hard disconnect. Zwift does not like multiple connections.
