Cadence - Is it required to make the avatar move?

Hi,

I’ve recently purchased a treadmill and awaiting it’s arrival, however, I have a question in the meantime.

Does cadence make the avatar move when running? Do I need a cadence sensor?

Hi @Truan. I’m Gian from Zwift.

Thank you for your question! A cadence sensor is optional. You can run on Zwift without it. As long as your treadmill can pair with the app as “Run Speed”, you’re fine.
