Hi! I also got my Tacx Blue Matic, already got all the devices paired (cadence, speed, heart monitor) and got into the bike to ride.
My avatar responds and i rode for a while. When I got into an event, i started going at a 80 rpm of cadence and the speed was already 55km/h.
I know that this trainer is not accurate on power and the resistance on uphills and downhills, but there is no way to get that speed on a easy ride, haha.
What could be wrong? I set the resistance of the trainer on 3 and 4.
Thanks!
Hi @Nicolas_Bledel
Welcome to Zwift.
When setting up your trainer zwift will show on what resistance setting to put your trainer, you need to keep it on that setting.
This may help.
Oh! when it says âUse Setting 3â it means level 3 on the manual switch then?
Thanks for the tip, I will try it and give feedback if it works or doesnt.

That is correct on the manual resistance lever number 3.
Let us know if that works.

Hi - just following on from Nicâs questionsâŚ
Where on the screen does it indicate what setting I need to switch my trainer to? So I can change going up/downhill.
Thanks,
Hi @Oscar_Wagner
In the pairing screen it will show you what level to set the trainer. You should leave the trainer in the same setting always.
Great! Thank you so much.
Would you mind explaining how it would become harder when cycling uphill for example if I donât have to manually change the trainer setting?
Thanks,
You simply make it harder by shifting to a harder gear when going uphill.
Thanks Jesper! Doesnât that contradict the previous message that says it shouldnât be changed?
If not, does Zwift advise on which gear to switch to at each specific time?
You can change gears but not the trainer resistance.

No, it matches what Gerrie said. On a classic (dumb) trainer you keep the trainer resistance fixed and can simulate the changes in terrain manually by shifting gears opposite of how you would in the real world.
