Do you know if your "spawn point matched what Zwift shows on their Watopia map? (The green 9 in the image below)

I bet that it was pretty close as i’m not 100% sure but anyway, i didn’t do a U-turn nor did i any other move. Just select that route, switch to Watopia and taking off. 
The spwan point for Dust in the Wind was about there (the red X)
I think the red X was the spawn point for Quatch Quest today. I did a u-turn to the Stone Arch just to be sure. I couldn’t face no badge for all that effort.
I received the badge at the top of the Alp.
However I met a fellow Zwifter doing the same route without doing a u-turn and they received the badge also. Happy days.
Oh well, who knows???

Hi all, does anyone know if a u-turn after the start is still required to complete the Quatch Quest course for the achievement? Would be good to know before attempting.
Secondly does a u-turn do any harm, i.e. make the route invalid?

No U-turn is needed - just select the route and ride. I can’t say whether a U-turn voids the attempt, but I’d avoid it until you get the achievement.
Managed to get the Quatch Quest badge today running the latest version of Zwift on Windows 10. Spawn point was before the starting pen and no U-turn was required.

Thank you to all who replied to my question. I did finally try the route again a few days ago AND I did get the route badge.
Now I need to make time to chase badges for “Über Pretzel” and for PRL Full"…maybe they will hold util fall now that DST is here in the USA.
