Avatar off and on bike

This is the second time this week I’ve had to abort my ride because Avatar keeps stopping and climbing off bike especially when there are riders riding by meanwhile I’m still pedaling. Only occurs while climbing.

More info is needed.

How many watts are you putting out at that time?

What speed are you going?

What is the grade of the climb when it happens?

Any additional info could be helpful in assisting you in resolving your issue.

speed anywhere from 5 mph to 7 mph, grade of > 3% usually. watts 120-200.

I have a cycleOps smart trainer and use a MAC. have not been able to use any wireless speakers at the same time because of this problem  so use my iPhone 6 with plug in ear buds. still happening but getting worse. the smart trainer remains on (light pos) but the connection seems to get dropped. I have updated software on Mac rebooted computer, etc

For ANT+ dropouts use this KB: https://support.zwift.com/hc/en-us/articles/204186849-My-ANT-signal-is-dropping?section=201145295

For Bluetooth use this one: https://support.zwift.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000111566-My-Bluetooth-signal-is-Dropping?section=201145295

Hi Cynthia,

From what I can gather, you’re pairing your devices to Zwift with ANT+. It sounds like you may be having signal drops.

The usual cause for ANT+ dropouts is because your signal is receiving interference. We’ve written a guide describing common potential interference sources so you can try and eliminate them.

You can also check to see if your power meter needs to have the batteries replaced. Try changing those out and see if that helps.

If you continue to have the same problems after checking those things, please submit a support ticket and one of our Zwift support team members will be happy to further assist you.
