Well, that’s one option. It depends if Zwift are able to fix the existing problem for the Apple TV HD.

Yes that is the model I have. I hope that we don’t have to upgrade yet as I am holding out with the rumours of a new version coming out shortly.
Hopefully Zwift can confirm a fix for this. In the last few months though it has been crashing at start up but it always worked on the second attempt. I always force the app to shut after every session so it start from fresh.

Given that the iPad Air 2 and Apple TV HD both have 2GB RAM and very similar CPU… it might be the same type of problem
Has anyone found a solution for the crashing? My ATV started crashing last night anytime I would enter a workout, event, ride, etc. I’ve updated my ATV firmware, deleted all other apps off my ATV to no avail. Has anyone tried resetting their ATV and solved the issue? I’m running an ATV HD Gen 2 with 32gigs.
I just bought the new atv and it works so well. You can tell the old atv is just a bit outdated.
The only way I could do stage 2 in makuri island was to enter an event. When watopia loaded up first it transferred to makuri no problem. Like someone said earlier they were able to get to a workout by going into watopia first.
I did the free ride in the end on my iPad instead.
no reply from zwift to a ticket so I assume I am going to have to upgrade my Apple TV but I will hold off for the moment and use my iPad incase Apple announce a new Apple TV shortly which is rumoured
I think you should give it another try when the next Zwift release comes out. The old 2GB iPads are having problems with 1.99, so just maybe the old 2GB Apple TV is having the same problem? Hopefully something good happens in 1.100

Okay, I’ve had zwift crash a couple times with my Apple TV HD, but usually after it crashes once the second time it lets me in until today. I was trying to get into my Unlocked event race and every time I tried to join the event it would crash. I made sure everything was updated, even deleted and redownloaded zwift. I was able to join a pace partner and join the event that way(with a minute to spare) phew! But going through the menu and entering that way was an automatic crash. Any idea why this is happening now? I just don’t want it to be a problem in the future.

There’s an ATV HD-specific crash fix coming in the next release.
Ditto for renewed and frustrating crashes. I posted here earlier and got some good advice which seemed to post-pone the crashes but now nothing I have tried seems to work; reloaded Zwift, updated ATV and now reset ATV. without any success.
I am really getting frustrated about these issues. I just tried to launce a free ride, 4 times and everytime I got kicked out. I already re-installed the app, force closed the application, connected through ethernet, running last version of the app, etc. This is not what I am paying for. There is other software which works better and is for free.
Please talk to Zwift support. They can’t fix this issue but may well give you some level of refund!

You mean like a new software version which might solve the issue ? Better might launch it quickly. I amnow paying for software which is not working properly.
