Yeah they said the release planned for next week has some improvements for Apple devices that are running out of memory (eg, Apple TV HD and iPad Air 2). I hope it helps. Of course that does not compensate you for lost access but by some time next week hopefully you find out.

Referencing 4th Gen ATV/Model 1625: I filed a formal complaint with Zwift last week and received a reply yesterday. Downloaded Version 1.100.0 and the app works for now. It still crashes on the initial blue load screen but it has reliably loaded the course and run cleanly on the second boot 4 times now.

RE: the apple TV crash on startup: It is very consistently happening when something has changed on the main startup screen since last login.
Examples:
First login of the week when route of the week, climb of the week and whatnot has changed = crash

First login after completing one of those things or completing another challenge like MAAP or something = crash

Login after just doing a robopacer ride or something that does not affect the items on the startup screen = no crash

I have been experiencing this issue for at least a year. I have the 4th Gen Apple TV HD. Iā€™ve done everything (uninstall/reinstall Zwift, update Zwift, update iOS, reset the Apple TV, force quit after using the app). Nothing helps. I canā€™t do anything else on my end. And I have also contacted support. Zwift needs to fix this.

Even though in theory Zwift should fix this issue, assuming that it is indeed a Zwift issue, bear in mind that the Apple TV HD is the minimum spec of Apple TV thatā€™s supported for Zwift and at some point Zwift could drop that support.

I recommend that you seriously consider an upgrade to a later model of ATV, all of which will have significantly more RAM than the 2GB that your current box has. You should be able to find something for not too much money secondhand.

Hi, I donā€™t think it has to do with older ATVā€™s particularly. I have 3 ATVā€™s. 2 of them are older as in non-4K: one of them crashes at startup, the other one doesnā€™t. My 3rd one is a ATV 4k and it also crashes at startup; even after resetting and reinstall.

No other app I use on them ever had something like this. Really strange.

Well, but the Apple TV I currently have wasnā€™t cheap. And I bought it only to run Zwift. Thatā€™s all I use it for. Iā€™d prefer not to have to go out and buy another oneā€¦.
