Activities not uploading to Garmin or Strava [October 2024]

Both my wife and I seem to be having issues with Zwift not uploading rides to Garmin or Strava. Is there an issue currently?

Same for me. My workout yesterday didn’t upload and it doesn’t show up in the feed if l log in to my account on a PC.
Though if i start the app my workout is checked as done in my workout plan so somewhere in cyberspace it can be found.

I don’t have Garmin, but my runs are being directly uploaded to Strava and Training Peaks with no issues.

I take you have ticked Strava in the companion App under connections?

@Jeff_Tyzack and @Mattias_Hellgren
You may have to disconnect / reconnect Zwift to Strava. Strava had a server outage earlier this month. Here’s how.

Re: Garmin It wouldn’t hurt to do the same for them too.

Note: this will sync future activities moving forward. It will not sync activities in the past. For those, you can download your FIT files and manually upload them to Strava or Garmin.

Thanks, will try as all was working ok until the last few days

My Zwift rides are also not saving in Zwift as well all other apps.
I have tried all the suggested fixes but can’t get it to work. Getting very frustrated as it shouldn’t be this difficult and has been working perfectly for a number of years prior to recently

Though in my case the file isn’t available on the zwift page under my feeds. The latest one is from 17/10-24 and the one missing is from 22/10-24.

Though is is marked as completed in my workout plan

Latest workout in my feed

Your most recent three rides today were all pretty short, I’m guessing because you were testing, right?

Zwift won’t save rides if they’re less than 2 km / 1.24 mi in distance. And if they don’t save to Zwift activity feed, they won’t get uploaded to Strava / Garmin / etc. Might that be what’s happening in your case?

@Mattias_Hellgren

In your case - activities may not save correctly because on October 17 you had an iPad 13 and an iPhone 13 both logged in to Zwift main app at the same time. This confuses the server as to which is the active session because both are technically active.

If the iPad is your preferred device to run the main app - we recommend you uninstall it from the iPhone and whatever other devices you may have it installed on.

The Zwift Companion app can be installed on the iPhone and will not cause issues. It is expressly made to run on your phone and support additional functionality to the main app running on a laptop / tablet / Apple TV.

Hello.

Didn’t know that they could interfere with each other but it makes sense😊

Will uninstall it from the iPhone since i never use it other on the iPad👍🏻

Thx for the reply, have s nice weekend🌞

Thank you and yes the short rides were me testing and trying to sort it out.
