If in-game dual recording were available, more people would use it voluntarily, and if there were an option to make it mandatory, some organizers would require it.
I doubt that. Most likely the ones who already have duel on their setup but cant use it. But how many zwifters will that be ? Not more than 3% of all of them I would guess.
A back button for workouts
Easily configurable keyboard/controller shortcuts
Crash recovery
Sim mode for workouts
I’d really appreciate an easy-erg option, say I want to do 5 minutes at 80% FTP, it would be nice to be able to do a quick one-off one of those instead of having to go in, make a workout, etc etc etc.
years ago I had an idea for a “cruise control” feature that would lock your trainer into ERG mode at whatever power you were currently doing… IndieVelo/TPv now has this feature ![]()
Not suggesting this as a solution to your request but I have a workout saved that is a constant power for a long period of time. I have it set at about the mid point of what I’m ever likely to want to do and use the + and - to set it to where I want it to be for that ride or vary it as a kind of on the fly workout
I would like to be able to build a workout based on a route. Have searched, but I dont think that is possible at the moment. So that I can pin two points on a route and can assign the required effort there. Have started an Alpe training recently with every corner another power level, but it would be nice to make one in advance.
When I started on Zwift I was actually surprised there wasn’t a mode where you could just turn on ERG mode whenever you wanted, on the fly at any point in your ride, and control the power setpoint to any degree you wanted throughout the ride without being in a workout.
What I’ve got instead is a few longer zone 2 workouts that are all made up of short intervals, so I can jump out whenever I want without being halfway through a 30min segment.
But how is that supposed to work properly? Everytime u keep improving, u would need to adjust the length of each segment.
I don’t want to speak for them but I think they meant it would be a distance based workout not a time based one.
so you would do X watts for 0.5 miles or whatever fit that bit of the route
Criis above here was spot on. I saw a GCN video where one of them said he was doing Alpe training on Zwift. Lets say start to corner 21 Blue powerzone. At that corner 21 to corner 20 he did orange powerzones, at that corner back to blue and so on to the top.
Now am I nowhere near blue/orange so did a blue/green to the top. changing powerzones at every corner.
But it would be nice if I can create a workout on distance indeed, and than preferably just clicking on the routemap and assigning powerzones to that section.
I’ve been on Zwift for over 8 years and quite frankly I’m getting really bored with it, I’ve been at Level 100 for 8 months. I thought what make me look forward to riding on Zwift (like I used to) and what change(s) would help my fitness:
- get Route badges for Portal Climbs and bonus XP based on distance and metres climbed since they are slower to ride than other Routes
- I like Bike Upgrades, but the downside is that I am spending all my time with Robopacers because I can more Drop to buy upgrades, I now hardly do any Community organised rides which were more enjoyable with the banter and messaging. It is a shame that this has happened
- keep your Drop Multiplier when you teleport between Robopacer groups. I’m not getting any fitter because staying with the one Robopacer group so I don’t lose my Drop Multiplier. I’d love to be able to warm up with Bernie or Miguel and then do 5 minute hard efforts with Yumi or Jacques and all the while my Drop Multiplier keeps increasing to 2.5x
I have a lot more on my wish list, but these are the 3 things I’d like to see the most… and more Levels
I have several route-based workouts, including London Loop and Makuri Boardwalk.
You would need a tab button on controller for Alp turns.
Am I imagining it, or are both 2) and 3) both caused by you prioritising something you feel you need to do over things you want to do … and making yourself miserable as a result?
I have an amazing tip to fix both those issues …

I can almost do this turning on the Elite Zona. Just hit “A” to go to pairing and deselect the trainer for resistance.
Thanks David, you are correct, but I’d still like them to change it, I’d like my cake and to eat it too
I’d also really like if the power trace were automatically screenshotted (like happens with workouts when you finish them) and also made the default image for the ride. The auto-captured photos are typically not worth looking at IMO. When I manually take a screenshot of the power trace - typically the only screenshot I take each ride - it’s defaulted to not even be included in the uploaded photos, while a random shot taken at 18 minutes or whatever is the default highlight photo.
Macaron route no longer event only?
That’s got to be one of the simple and easiest things…
But also hugely controversial and I expect a storm of protest why it should never happen.
It’s so bizarre.
“Hey, we saw that for the 547th ride in a row you deliberately navigated to this page and took a screenshot of it, so once again we’re gonna go ahead and assume you don’t want to do anything with that image! Ride on!”
What why? Nobody would complain about that and who cares if they do
