ZwiftPower isn't showing power data

Hello Forum!

I’ve had a Zwift Ride for two weeks now and am super happy with it. I signed up for ZwiftPower on 4/1/26 and my Zwift account is verified.

This morning, April 2, I activated my ZwiftPower access. In the evening, I rode a Loop de Loop lap in Watopia. No data is showing up in ZwiftPower, even after clicking “Update Data” etc. What am I doing wrong, or what’s not working? Thanks in advance, best regards

Your profile page in ZwiftPower only shows events like group rides, group workouts, and races. There is an Activities tab on your profile which should show you a little bit of data about other activities, but if you actually care about viewing your data you should use a third party app like intervals.icu.

you will usually just see events in zwiftpower, it was originally developed for racing to show “the real results” and DQ people that don’t follow the race organizers rules. If you are just doing regular “free rides” by choosing a route, not selecting an event, then they won’t automatically show up in Zwiftpower.

However, there is an “activities” tab that should show your other rides.

Thank you very much to @Mike and @Paul for your quick response and explanation. That has made it much clearer to me what ZwiftPower was developed for.
Regarding my issue: About 20 minutes after my free ride , I clicked in ZwiftPower under Activities the “Update active list!” button, but nothing happened. That’s why I posted in the forum. I just clicked that “Update…” now button again, but still didn’t get any entries. Now I’m out of ideas…

Thanks a lot, @Paul. I’d be happy to take a look at your suggestion at intervals.icu.

I’m still learning as I go.

On intervals.icu, select Settings, then go to Connections, and enable the connection to Zwift. That should give you more data than you have any use for.

Looking at your Activity on my Zwift Companion App I notice that although you are at level 7 your activity reports show as “This Zwifter has no activity yet”. I’m guessing that if you are having an issue saving your activities this might be why you are not seeing any in ZwiftPower. Possibly @Paul_Southworth may be able to offer more help.

Thanks @Ian for the tip. My activity settings are set to “Followers” and not “Public.” I’ve now set yesterday’s last ride to “Public”—is it visible?
That said, I’m still not getting any data on ZwiftPower.

Oh, what a surprise… After refreshing the “Activity Data,” I can now see the data from the ride I marked as “Public” in Zwift. So, in addition to granting the app ZwiftPower permission in Zwift, the data also needs to be marked as public. I wasn’t aware of that; I thought the permission alone was enough. Best regards - all ok  Thanks all …

Yes I can now see your ride from yesterday.

I always save my rides as public but recently saved two as private and was surprised to see that they didn’t save under ZP Activities. Quite odd especially as you are the only person who can view your own ZP activities.

The ZP activity information can be very useful as it is possibly the only simple way of searching for specific activities. If you think in the future you will wish to find specific ride reports make sure you use a consistent Activity saving system with a standard identifier.

You can always go back and resave your activity description and then update your activity list again.

Thanks @Ian for your support and the tips. I’ve been on Zwift for two weeks now, and a lot of this is new to me.

You’re right—the way ZwiftPower handles permissions and activity sharing isn’t very intuitive.

I’ve been using Strava for my fitness data since 2008. It used to annoy me that manufacturers like Garmin or Polar tied their platforms to specific devices, meaning you’d lose your data if you switched devices. Best regards

Garmin Connect will accept fit files recorded on any device, and will also let you export all of your data in a zip file (I used that feature to import all of it to intervals.icu which is device agnostic and offers very nice data analysis tools, far better than ZwiftPower.)

Thanks a lot, @Paul, for the tip about intervals.icu—first impressions are great. Still having some connection issues, though. I used Polar at first, but now I’m using Garmin to support my Favero pedals. It’d be cool if I could import my archive data via Zip. I mainly use Strava for the segments. It’d be great if I could find something similar on intervals.icu. Cheers from Austria

As far as I know, intervals.icu does not support Zwift segments like Strava does, nor event placings like ZwiftPower does. Strava is also missing Zwift segments that are too short to be Strava segments, and sometimes mixes up Zwift climb portal segments, but overall it’s pretty complete.

Hey @Paul thanks so much! My new Zwift ride is now automatically synced to intervals.icu—it works great. Older Zwift (and Rouvy) rides aren’t imported, but I can easily upload them manually as FIT files. I’m really impressed with intervals.icu—thanks again for the tip.

I’ll take a look at segments in Zwift and other features over the next few days.

Hey @Paul I’m really impressed with Intervals.icu. Thanks to your tip today, I’ve uploaded all my data from Garmin Connect, and the Zwift connection is working too. The features and data analysis are excellent. It’s my new favorite tool. Happy riding…
