Zwift won't load - Mac Pro Sequoia

I have a Mac Pro Desktop and I’ve been running Zwift for a few weeks now - all of the sudden today it won’t load. It goes through the login screen, then it hangs and just sits there - won’t get to the connections or anything. Any ideas???

Hi @JEFF_ULRICH! Welcome to the forums,

Thanks for bringing this query to our attention! Jose here from Zwift.

I’m sorry to hear that you’re experiencing issues with the game. There could be several reasons for this, with the most common being outdated software on your computer and available space. I recommend checking out this article for more information.

I see that you’ve already contacted Zwift Support via email. Let’s continue that email conversation so we can help you.

Please keep an eye on your inbox, as we are working on your case. One of our colleagues will get back to you as soon as we can. We appreciate your patience, especially since we are currently experiencing a high volume of cases.

Have a nice day.

If support figures it out for you, please come back and share the solution. I’d love to know the answer.

Maybe I jumped the gun - but now it’s working. Some additional info - I did delete the app and I also updated my Mac OS - is was only a point update, from 15.3 to 15.3.1 - but maybe during that update it cleared out some cache or something. In any case I re-installed and now it’s working fine again???

I’m currently on this machine and it is working for me as I just checked.

Are you on the 14,8 Mac Pro (M2) or the 7,1? Sometimes removing the app can help, but I’ve never had that issue.

What can also help is restarting the machine as Mac Pro desktops are often used as always on machines because they are running other services that need to remain on. If you are running local development instances of web applications or similar be sure to shut them down properly first.

I have two of these machines, the other is also Xeon W 28 core with Dual W6800X Duo GPUs that I can also test on if you see the issue again. Of all the machines to run Zwift on, my experience is these Mac Pros are usually bulletproof reliable.

The minor point updates to MacOS are usually only to fix something that must be solved quickly (ie, if they busted the PCI-E storage again).

Given I haven’t done the update yet, I suspect the restart could have helped.
