Zwift wakes cursor every minute when riding

Fully tested again today and mouse cursor does boot appear unless provoked.

I’m struggling with an explanation to the odd behaviour.

Maybe it’s the version of Windows?

I get a similar weirdness with the cursor.

If I use the mouse during the ride, the cursor appears as expected but doesn’t always auto hide again. Have to wiggle the mouse and it will disappear after this. Running fullscreen Win10 from laptop to bigger monitor.

But yeah, quirky weird.

happens with both windows 10 and windows 11 for me.

I just tested on my Win 11 laptop, running in windowed mode. Cursor disappears after 5 seconds and doesn’t come back until I move the mouse or use keyboard. Waited over 4 minutes and then again over 2 minutes, cursor never came back until I moved it.

it is very weird.

I’m pretty sure it is nothing i am doing, happens on all my computers and the cursor reappears every 60 seconds exactly so not like the mouse is getting knocked or anything.

Not the end of the world, can move the cursor off screen just really odd.

I was thinking more if it was home, pro edition etc…

I can’t think there’s any difference between versions that could cause this issue though.

mine are all Pro i think.

I won’t let it bother me too much

I’m on Win 10 and I run the BorderlessGaming app, don’t recall this happening. But, I run BorderlessGaming because some process I never cared enough to identify would irregularly hijack Windows’ attention when Zwift was full-screen. Those sort of processes pop cursors up too.

Re-confirmed mouse reappearing every minute today on the minute exactly. At the top of every minute the mouse pointer appears for aprox 3 seconds and then disappears. I have noticed this for a couple of years.

PC running WIn11 in window mode with nothing else running.

did a bit of a test last night and the mouse cursor definitely seemed to pop up a bit in the middle of the screen without any provocation, wonder if its due to windowed mode and something in the background processing
