When pairing devices, there can be a countdown that allows the UI to auto progress to the next screen. If the user clicks on the proceed button while this is occurring the click occasionally is processed by the “Start Ride” button instead and the user is not able to use the interface to choose a group ride from the schedule, for instance. This is particularly annoying when running late and ending up not being able to join a group on time. Unfortunately, this seems to be when it happens more often due to time pressure on the user.
I suspect you haven’t seen this post about the new UI which seems to address some of your requests (or at least should, ie the remember screen size).
