Zwift set up with Wahoo Kickr and bike

When I set up Zwift app with my Wahoo Kickr, it had me input info on my bike. It didn’t have the option of 200 x 26 wheels, so I used a 24" wheel. That made the app show much slower mph than I am riding. Does anyone know how to get back and reset new equipment, or change it. I cannot find Garage on the app on my phone.

On a phone, if you want to completely erase the previous pairing data from Zwift you can delete the app and reinstall it. But a Kickr is a smart trainer so you I would expect you would input the wheel size in the Wahoo app, and wheel size would not affect speed in the game on a trainer like that since speed in Zwift is derived from power, height, weight, and the in-game bike you chose. Exactly which trainer do you have?

Wahoo Kickr, and yes it is definitely changing speed to much lower mph.

That’s odd that you use a smart trainer and had any place in Zwift to record a wheel size. Maybe contact support? It’s normal to set a wheel size in the Wahoo app but in Zwift that should only happen if you’re using a speed sensor, which you should not use if you have a smart trainer.

Hi @Mark_Stevens6 welcome to Zwift forums and Zwift more generally.

Shuji at Zwift HQ here. I can see your server log history and noticed you’re logging in from an iPhone 14 and an iPhone 13 mini. Don’t log in to the main app from multiple devices - it confuses the server. We recommend you choose one of those two as your Zwifting device, and uninstall the main app from the other.

Your server logs say you’re riding one of a KICKR model with firmware v 5.0.4 - which sounds like the KICKR v6 on very outdated firmware. Let’s have you use the Wahoo app to update that. Here’s how.

In the Zwift pairing screen, you should select Power Source, as your KICKR has an power meter that broadcasts data to Zwift. Don’t choose the other option where you enter a tire size. It is for setups using a classic trainer + speed sensor.

In the next screen - you want to pair your KICKR’s signals left to right, top to bottom. So in this order:

  1. Power
  2. Resistance
  3. Cadence
  4. Controls (if using. i.e. Zwift Play / Click / Ride. Elite Sterzo Smart, etc.)
  5. Heart Rate Monitor. (if using. iOS devices can only support HRM’s that broadcast over Bluetooth, not ANT+).

Please do those things, and you should be all set!

I will check on those things. But I don’t have an iPhone14, just the iPhone13 mini. But I did try to get on through my laptop, so that I could see the screen better. I will delete it from my laptop for sure.
