Zwift Ride sweat proof?

I usually drape a towel over my bike handle bars to keep from getting sweat on them. I’m curious since I’ll be getting the Zwift Ride here soon, if it’s sweat proof? What keeps it from getting sweat into the buttons and it getting corrida after constantly being sweat on. Anything I should be worried about?

I’m not sure sweatproof is an official grading like the IP ratings.
They’ll tolerate a certain amount of liquid but don’t forget that sweat contains salt which is pretty corrosive

Yup, knew that. Why I’m concerned about it getting in between the buttons and onto the handle bars. Wondering if I should cover it like I cover my actual bike.

Personally speaking prevention is always a good idea.

Hello @Kru, thank you for sharing your question about the Zwift Ride in our forums. I’m Monica from Zwift. I completely understand your concern regarding whether the Zwift Ride is sweat proof. We engineered them to handle a certain level of sweat, but too much can potentially harm your device. I recommend keeping a towel handy to wipe away excess sweat and protect your Zwift Ride. For further details, please refer to this article. If you have any other questions or need assistance, feel free to reach out to us at support@zwift.com.

Come on Zwift, not ‘totally’ sweat proof. I am having issues with my brand new ride because of this, why would you not make them IP68? You sell a fan on your store so I can only assume you know folks are going to sweat, just being honest but saying ‘use a towel’ is not the right answer when you have spent $800 on a piece of equipment designed for exercise that would ‘likely’ make you sweat. You are better than this.

What’s a peloton made out of out of curiosity. This is my biggest worry. If they will stand the test of time due to all the sweat that they will collect.

From what I understand Peloton is not entirely sweat proof either but I have not used one personally, that is just what I have heard from others.
