Zwift ride “sparking”

Has anyone else seen their Zwift ride sparking within the case whilst turning ? I have a video but forum won’t accept it as a post

I assume it is a warranty claim as less than a year old …

You mean a Wahoo Kickr Core trainer is sparking? Definitely unplug it and get support if that’s happening.

If you want to share a video link, just mangle the URL a little, like insert a space somewhere in the “https” part and we’ll figure out how to view it.

Space after https

If that video is real, that’s the most insane static buildup I’ve ever seen :flushed_face::flushed_face:

Woah! :astonished:

I wouldn’t be using that at all - unplug it and go back to manufacturer for support.

Find your order number for the trainer, send that and a link to the video to Zwift support if you bought it from Zwift. Since the fault appears to be in the Kickr Core and not the Ride frame, you also have the option to contact Wahoo support.

I showed this to some other folks, and they believe it is the decals coming off.

Could be but that would also mean something came loose or os stuck in there to rip them off - which is still not good.

That is a common problem with the Core

Definitely not the decals coming off. This is the same unit this morning, no noise, no loose decals. The noise sounded like the same sort of sparking you get off of a Van Der Graff generator - so static electricity. https ://youtube.com/shorts/YYqSBJspkJE?feature=share

Funnily enough Wahoo support have come back to me offering to send me some new decals ..

apologies all - I am talking rubbish, just found a loose decal on the floor ! sorry
