Questions about what is included in frame purchase were above. I’ve taken a screenshot with relevant details circled. And the link to compatible trainers above seems to show yours (see second image).

Hi, maybe you could contact Zwift support and get them to send you one as was done in the case below.

I’ve got a kickr core, kinda tempted to get this to free up my gravel bike for the winter… I’m a bit too lazy to keep taking it on and off the core all the time.

Hi @Antonio_Ricci Welcome to Zwift forums!

Shuji at Zwift HQ here. Zwift is still working with our trainer partners to pinpoint exactly which existing trainer versions will be able to run the firmware update required to support Virtual Shifting. At this time, only the most recent release of the Elite Direto XR with Click and Cog (preinstalled and included at time of purchase) will be compatible with Virtual Shifting when it ships later in 2024

This is great, have been waiting for this announcement. When will be available in Oz? AU wahoo website still doesn’t show the frame only options.

Hi, it says the ride frame is compatible with the Kickr core with cassette. I bought my kicker core without a cassette (and fitted one myself). It’s a Kickr core C3E7. Can I double check that this is compatible with the ride frame?

Hi, when will the frame become available in Australia? I just bought a Kickr V6, and would love to buy just the frame.

That’s unfortunate. Guess I’ll have to wait with my ‘older’ Elite Direto.

So this is another Kickr v5 situation? It’s the same trainer but “the firmware doesn’t work” kind of thing?

A bit gutted by the V5 situation. I would have considered the Zwift Frame but undestanding it is not compatible with V5, to use a Zwift Frame I would be forced to buy a V6 (expensive and where the only difference with my V5 is wifi, which I don’t need) or downgrade to a Kickr Core, which does not have race mode and does not have the same specifics of V5. I understand this is a firmware problem but it leaves us V5 owners without options, unless I am missing something

What a pity! I have an ELITE DIRETO XR that mechanically would work with “click cog - no freehub”, but I can’t buy the ZWIFT RIDE frame only because of the software… I won’t buy “ELITE DIRETO XR zwift ready” only because of the software and therefore I won’t be able to buy a ZWIFT RIDE frame either…

There’s the option of the Elite Square. It does virtual shifting on any platform, and just about any trainer. Apparently has buttons that provide all the same functionality on zwift as the play controllers and zwift ride handlebar. More adjustable, belt drive so quieter, compatible with the rizer if you’re into that sort of thing.
Costs a fair bit more though.

For €1250 you can buy a carbon bike with rim brakes and shimano 105 11 speed gears (to be used also as a second bike in case of emergency)

And use that bike for what, in this context?

Do you own one? I understand It can work with any recent smart trainer, including my Kickr V5, right?
