Zwift ride /Apple tv question

I read somewhere that the new version of Zwift ride uses 1 less BT connection. Is this true? I would like to buy one , but don’t want to do the companion app pairing in order to run it on Apple TV. I’ve had too many drops using the Companion app as a bridge. Currently I’m using my bike on wahoo trainer and HR all directly to TV

Thank you for any information

The Ride controls use one Bluetooth connection. The trainer uses one Bluetooth connection. That’s the limit for Apple TV, leaving no connection available for the HRM, but if you buy the trainer bundle with the Kickr Core V2, it now has the ability to bridge the HRM and avoid using Companion for pairing. Information about that feature here:

If you use some other trainer, it would depend on the capabilities of the trainer. No other Wahoo trainers support the bridge functionality now, but some other brands of trainers do.

Lools like.he didn’t have much luck with HH monitor and bridge. I believe the jet black victory has this feature. I may look into that.

Some Elite trainers support it as well.
