Im trying to connect my new zwift bike to apple tv with the controllers… any help or guidance would be great. Thanks Brian
Thank you… but how do you connect you kicker to the network Mike?
I think you need the dir con attachment from Wahoo. Cant you use the companion app to connect everything?
Not working that way either through companion app…
I guess I would have to get that other piece of hardware for it.
Which model of Kickr do you have? Did you buy the Ride bundle with the Kickr Core or do you already have a Kickr? If so you need to know which version it is, because only the Kickr Core, Kickr V6, and Kickr MOVE will work with the Ride. If you have Kickr V1-V5 then it’s not supported and Ride controls will not pair. The answer to that question also determines your network connectivity options.
If you do have a Kickr Core, Kickr V6, or Kickr MOVE, you should run the Wahoo app and check for trainer firmware updates. If firmware is too old, the Ride controls will not pair to the game.
Thanks… this is the new zwift bike with wahoo trainer… and I did update all firmware.
Assuming you have a Kickr Core then. With that trainer only connection option for you is Bluetooth.
And the companion app should connect everything to Apple TV for him right?
If there’s only the trainer and the Ride controls, that would not require Companion to pair. If there’s a HRM or other stuff getting paired like a separate cadence sensor, then Companion would be required.
So how do I connect the companion app… I tried updating the app and turned off the apple tv… no success… thanks for any help guys… trying to connect to zwift support but no luck maybe the weekend is the issue…
got it… thanks guys.
