Zwift ride and Zwift hub

I received my Zwift ride today, but can’t install the provided cog without removing the free hub from the existing cassette. This requires tools, etc. is this correct or am I missing something in the setup?

If there’s a cassette on your trainer then, yes, you’ll need to remove it to put the cog on instead.

That’s typically a chain whip (or chain pliers) and a lock ring tool (which is usually a 1/2" socket - depends on the torque but a lot will just use an adjustable wrench on it - if it’s tight then a breaker bar is your friend) I don’t think the cog lock ring needs to be tight though, just snug, I thought I’d seen 5nm as a figure, but wahoos page says 15nm - maybe it’s for the different versions - don’t go excessively in with a breaker bar like a proper cassette I guess.

If you own an adjustable wrench, this is about the cheapest I have seen the tools

If you don’t own an adjustable wrench, you can get a version with the lever attached to the lockring tool (see the $25 version of this kit)
