Zwift Racing Score Categories

Can anyone explain why I am forced to a score category higher than my racing score? I regularly do the Crit Club races. My racing score currently sits at 323. However, the lowest group I am able to join is 350-520. My racing score was briefly above 350, but once I started racing in the higher group, it immediately dropped below 350. However, for many weeks now, I am still unable to join the group that matches my current score of 323. This would be the 180-350 group. This seems to only be the Crit Club races, as other races I am able to join the 180-350 group. However, the Crit Club races are what fit with my schedule, so that is what I want to do. It would be nice if I could join the appropriate group, instead of getting smoked in the 350-520.

Crit Club is using the 30 day max value

If I’ve found the correct zwiftpower profile, your ZRS dropped to 341 on 22nd October, so the lower pen should become available around 21st November, providing you do not exceed 350 before then.

ZRacing range 1 also has a 270-390 pen so if the times work for that, it could be appealing

Thanks everyone. I figured it was something like that, but was thrown off by the fact I could join some races at the lower group level. It seems the 30 day setting is not ubiquitous.

To tell the difference between events that use the 30 day max and those that don’t, look for the “Max” word like you see here…
