Continuing the discussion from Racing Score Question:

Probably because the number is a fraction above 180. They no longer show that information. If you are 180.01 then you go in the upper category.
Because you don’t show the fraction why the group isn’t 0-179 and the nex 180-349? ecc.
Yes the way it works is not helpful when you are right on the border of a category. They should show the fractional value.
Thanks Paul I hope they solve this problem so I can manage my group.
I just raced my first race using the ZRS.
I too, am a group D with a bottom of group score of 195.
I thought I was going to get spat out the back in a hurry just like the old system.
But, I stayed with the lead group till the end in a bunch of 23 riders out of 39 starters.
I managed to finish barely in the top half of finishers and added a single hard earned point to my score.
I think at least 23/34 riders in that 1 race probably felt it was fun and engaging.
You can go for the win or go for a to 1/2 position to add to score.
I wish all were on Zwift Power.
a problem i also have, usually a competitive D
Score of 184, came a solo last by a few minutes, to riders who were putting power out well above the old D
as a result dropped below 180, so raced yesterday in E in top group. finished second, which has taken me back above 180,
Are the new categories too widely spaced?
There will always be borderline cases.
At least the scores move quicker.
I suppose sandbaggers could exploit this.
Still, in the old system, I was cat C with FTP of 2.9 -3.0.
I was in the upper 50 -75% of C but never finished in a lead group of 23 out of 39.
Zwift can’t please everyone but I think more people will enjoy the race.
There’s more prizes- win the race or beat 50 % of riders to improve the score and, we can encourage racers who are upset at being newly promoted to race group rides, instead of sandbagging, because they will never be alone.
Personally I think that the group E (0-180) is to small and D (180-350) to big, in my opinion the group E should be 0-200
