Zwift launcher causes script error on Windows 10

Hi @Stefan_Kumli_Xterra,
I changed my Windows language back to German and checked how it behaves with the Zwifthacks login script v18. Result is that the scripterror immediately re-appears again.
Also, I cannot find how this fix is referenced on the Zwifthacks homepage. I cannot find the description that the script now works with all languages. As described in my other answer, this means that the script can now press the “Let’s go” button in other languages.

@Jesper_ZwiftHacks maybe you can clarify if v18 of your login script is intended to solve the scripterror described above.

@Stefan_Kumli_Xterra it would still be interesting to figure out what caused your systems to not show the scripterror. What is your system language?

Thanks.
Frank

Hi Frank

well, I think I’ve my systems in english, but my input language and regional settings are configured to swiss german. But zwift runs in english as well. For me, it was clear, it must be a script error by zwifthacks login, because I didn’t knew, that zwift login uses scripts as well. additional, when I pressed the button “continue this script” at the error page - the zwift hacks login script runs further correctly.

So, I think, I’m wrong at this point. But of course, the updated zwifthacks file solved my problem and on a fast overview on the zwifthacks homepage I saw a statement for the language issue - but to be honest, I didn’t read all the description on zwifthacks because my problem was allready solved - but at the same time I’ve found this Forum entry here and thought maybe you are on the wrong track here. But with your description It doesn’t look like - sorry for the missunterstanding…

Thanks @Vitor_Cotrim but we tried this as well. It is important to understand, that this script error also occurs on a completely new Windows 10 installation (i.e. there is nothing to clear in IE). But thanks a lot for the effort!

Take a look here: Windows 10 zwiftapp.exe crashes on start - #12 by Johannes_Ertl
Blocking the facebook script in Internet Explorer worked for me. I think it is a workaround though…

EDIT: As @INIGO_LOPEZ mentioned, the Youtube Video in the Link mentioned above has been removed. Therefore I am adding a short description here:

  • open “Internet Options” on your Windows 10 machine (the Options are in Internet Explorer, not Edge)
  • open Tab Security
  • select Zone “Restricted Sites”
  • Press Button “Sites”
  • Add the URL that caused the error, i.e. https://connect.facebook.net
  • close and press o.k. (not sure if it requires a restart but maybe)

Hope this helps.

@Frank_Krauthauser’s workaround stops the error.

Has anyone heard of an updated way to fix this? I tried the Facebook restriction in IE, rebooted and still the same script error

Same problem for me, can´t log in.

Same here, no way to start on laptop. Desktop same Windows 10 Version works fine, but isn´t practible.

UPDATE: OK fine - Zwift.log shows “Dump Request Failed”. Google it

I deinstalled garmin on laptop, never used. Works fine. On Desptop was a question to stopp garmin zwift is working. So it works on Desktop with gamrin installed.
