No 10hz mode on Zwift Hub/macOS since latest update. Anyone else with this problem? Or can confirm race mode is still working on other trainers (Wahoo?).
You don’t have an ANT+ dongle right?
connecting via bluetooth
Hi @sku77
Shuji at Zwift HQ here. Thanks for flagging this up! We are aware and already have a fix in place for the next game release cycle. We appreciate your patience until then.
Wish I’d checked the forums out before power cycling everything, changing from wifi to Bluetooth connection and back again, and turning race mode on and off in the wahoo app in an attempt to fix glad it’s not just me having problems though!
Besides verifying that the power numbers update quickly, is there a way to verify race mode is enabled in Zwift? I think race mode is still working for me in Zwift for Windows, but I’m not completely sure.
Well if you up the power quickly (like a sprint) the avatar will react almost instantly, whereas standard mode there’s a slight delay of a second or two. Don’t know of a way to see it actually enabled (a little symbol in game would be nice)
Thanks. Yes, the power numbers do update quickly as expected.
Can someone explain ‘Race Mode’? It changes power readings 10x per second instead of 1x per second? I’m not sure I can even react and shift gears 1x per second anyway, much less 10x.
Race mode not working on Kickr5 direct connect since update 1.73 on PC. Enabled in Wahoo App, but power updates in Zwift are back to twice per second, as pr. standard connection. Anyone else with this issue?
It seems to work in the pairing screen but not in-game, maybe just an issue with the new HUD.
Good pick-up Mike. I think this is exactly what’s happening (after fumbling around with this today during my ride).
UPDATE September 17
This issue has been fixed in game version 1.74. Please update when the phased rollout is available to you, and let us know that it’s resolved. TIA.
Yep working fine now thanks
