Zwift Hub ANT+

I need to use ANT+ with my Zwift Hub One. The signal strength is horrible. Bluetooth works great. But ANT+ can’t maintain a reliable signal to my handlebar mounted Garmin. Every 20-30 secs the signal drops for 5-10 secs.

I saw the same issue with ANT dropouts to my Zwift computer… a USB extension cable to move the ANT stick close to the trainer solved that. But I can’t use a cable with my Edge.

The single BT connection to my phone is perfect. Wish it had dual BT like the KICKR.

Likely some kind of radio interference in your environment.

Have you seen this video?

Hi @Dave_Brillhart Thanks for the submission! Been a while since we last saw you here in the Forums. I’m Norman from Zwift happy to help.

If the signal works well with Bluetooth Native but not with ANT+, consider checking on your ANT+ Cable/Dongle, if it’s on the older side, maybe having a newer one would help. I also agree that this could be an interference issue, and we have a very useful article that gives very useful tips on how to solve it.

Thanks for the reply. Just to be clear… I saw the continuous dropouts on my desktop computer than powers Zwift, which is facing my Zwift Hub One about 4 feet away. I run 5GHz WiFi, which helps avoid ANT conflict. I added a USB extension and it TOTALLY fixed the issue. So there was a signal strength or conflict. But I also need my Garmin EDGE computer, mounted on my handlehars, to receive a reliable ANT signal from the Zwift Hub One. I can’t obviously connect a cable to the bike computer. So I need to figure this out. You are not aware of an issue with ANT transmissions from the Zwift Hub One?
