Yesterday I was doing a ride. About an hour into the ride I went to the menu and started a workout.
Just after I started the workout I got the notification that I’d reached the threshold for another upgrade on the bike I was on. I waited till the warmups were finished and started a Z1 spin section of the workout and went to the menu to do the upgrade.
Clicked the pairing button instead of the garage, shouldn’t have been a big deal. Exited the pairing menu and *POOF* Zwift was gone.
Ever since that happened Zwift will not load my account on either my PC or on my iPad.
My iPad also has a dormant acct that my son used for a while on it. If I try that one will open, but attempts to open my acct fail at the point that the launcher gets logged in and switches to the game.
I saved my ride on my Garmin and it was shared to my Zwift Companion. An hour later my ride from Zwift appeared on Companion so I assume that my acct eventually timed out and the ride saved; however, it was never sent to Strava. That has always worked in the past.
Oh yea, and if you’ve ever logged in on an iPad the acct selector shows the last jersey you were wearing. I don’t usually use the iPad for Zwift, just Companion. When I tried to log with the I pad it started out the jersey was wrong (one I was using last week). Once it tried to log in it’s showing the jersey I was wearing yesterday, so it’s getting something from the server.
Everything has worked fine for the last three yrs.
I’ve contacted support. I got a number of responses yesterday, though none were solutions, just requests for more clarification as to exactly what I was doing when Zwift crashed.
It is not just you or your hardware. For the last 36 hours, I have been unable to run Zwift on any device (laptop, desktop, iPad, iPhone, Apple TV). It starts to load and then when the login successful words come up, the app shuts down.
There have been a couple of people complaining on reddit this past couple days about this. Individual logins not working on any device, but they are able to login using a spare account if they have one. I wonder if something strange has gone on with the billings/subscriptions update that happened earlier this week/last week.
Yes, my wife logged in with her account without any issues so it has to do with my account somehow. I have sent crash logs to Zwift.
One of my biggest complaints is the time it takes for Zwift support to respond. I’m going on three days now with no resolution and only the typical I’m sending this to someone else to look at response.
Not so many days for me, but I have the same feeling overall. Same problem, log in not working on different devices, forces App to crash. I’m usually someone who has a big understanding for companies that some things are not solveable very fast. But I pay a lot of money for Zwift and the least I would expect is some transparency. A friend of me got the answer that he should try to empty his browser cookies after already explaining the problem two or three times. They can’t be serious.
Again: I understand that some things are not easy to solve, but the whole process in this is very annoying.
Yes, I would like more communication. Two emails in four days is not good communication. Let me know what you are doing. Just a short email to tell me you are still looking into it. As far as I know I’m being ignored and nothing is being done.
Mine didn’t crash to start this problem but I tried to log in yesterday and it gets to logging in then apps closes. This is the same with my main account on laptop, Zwift PC and phone. My alternative account logs in fine
I raised this with Zwift, I am getting nothing back other than a we’ll look into it.
A friend of mine is also having the same issue.
This is clearly something to do with the subscription ‘upgrade’ Zwift has done. I’m pretty annoyed about this
Sometimes if you uninstall and download, the previous version still seems to be there?
I ran a systems check and force quit everything, made sure Zwift was allowed by firewall/antivirus, and removed a mega Zwift file that should not have been there.
When some people set Zwift a small box for launcher is there’z’ . If you right click it see if debug line shows up.
I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but the old versions are not an option that I can see. I have also tried force quitting everything and using ctrl+alt+del to make sure no instances are running in the background.
Also, what and where is the file you speak of. I would like to look and see if I have it too.
If this is what I think it is, I don’t think reinstalling or the game version will make any difference. You need support from Zwift to fix the account.
How would that explain that it is the same on three different devices? MacOS, iOS, Android. That it is the same problem on Windows for a friend. And that an other account works on the same set up that doesn’t work with the main account?
I would love that it is some easy solution on my end, but everything looks like it is on Zwifts end.
I haven’t gotten any response since Friday when someone told me it was being “elevated”. The only real evaluation I got was from someone who had reviewed my crash log and said there was nothing in there.
I do enjoy Zwift for the distraction when I ride indoors through the 7 or 8 months of winter and awful weather here in northern NH. I use it a lot between the end of October and late May. I’m L92 and do a lot of hours, but if Zwift can’t get this sorted pretty shortly (like before my next payment) I’m probably moving that monthly subscription $$ from Zwift to TrainerRoad.
It was an older Zwift file that Zwift no longer uses. I think for some, it got corrected with an update. Others have said they removed it( something like 100 mb from my ten year file) I think it was just windows ten that was mishandling this file.
From what I’ve seen, it is especially windows 10 and eleven. Mostly computers with older graphics drivers. ( sorry I don’t know much about them which is why it was so aggravating when this happened to me, several times.
