Zwift Companion activity not syncing to Apple Health

So I wonder if we can go from Zwift > Strava > My Fitness Pal > Health and it will work? I have disabled the Strava to Health integration by turning off all the categories and enabled MFP with Strava - will see if this works this evening, as a workaround (hopefully temporarily!)

Zwift sends data to Health, does this not update the rings? I switched it off and have not been for a ride since.

i think Strava and Apple have made some changes, I saw some news about this a few days ago. (I don’t have apple devices to test)

see this link.

It’s working for me now

Hi @Adam_Ash,

Seem to be having a very similar problem, but it’s not even the added complication of syncing from Zwift.

I have set up all the syncing between Strava and Health App (inc. Activity). In the Activity App, the workout pulls through perfectly, but it never translates into the Move rings. E.g. Strava said active calories was 1,220, it pulls through into Activity/Health, but it still doesn’t get recognised. My active calories data is pulled from Apple Watch even though I prioritised data from Strava taking precedent.

Annoying as hell!

So the updating from MyFitnessPal didn’t work unfortunately. So reverted back to the Strava link. The bug still persists with the activity and calories being recognised by the Activity app but the total Move calories not being updated for the day.

Have found the Strava support thread, here: https://support.strava.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360025041651-Active-energy-partial-Activity-not-syncing-to-Health-app?page=1#community_comment_360009382891

Just synced to garmin connect which has pulled it into apple activity and updated rings, pity zwift doesnt do this…

This is good to know. I’ll ping my Zwift ride to Garmin connect and add that as the priority app in Health app. Thanks.

Edit: Just tried to sync, but cannot see a Zwift > Garmin connect option. Am I missing something @Martin_Mclaughlin

Edit 2: Scrap that. I had to go to Zwift Companion to add the link. Thanks. Will test this tonight

So Strava Customer Services finally got back to me.

Excellent. Thanks for the info. Will use this for the time-being.

So my Zwift runs don’t push from Strava to Apple Health but my Zwift rides do. If I ride after a run the ride syncs and also pushes the run through. Hopefully this gets sorted soon.

Moved the Health feed to Garmin Connect. It synced, but you have to put connect above Strava in the preferences in Apple Health to make sure the rings get updated. Don’t understand why Strava stopped syncing…

Yep, it’s important to place your apps in the right order in the Health App to make sure you take the data from the right place. This is how my workout data looks. I take my gym workouts from Fitbod and my Zwift workouts from Garmin now.

Until Zwift integrate with Health App better, or Strava revert their changes, this will have to do.

I can only assume they have stopped doing this because they have their own product on the horizon to rival Zwift. It wouldn’t surprise me…

All,

Strava update came out for IOS today. Just tried it and all is working well with Apple Health (cycle, exercise, Active Energy, rings are transferring) as it did previously before the last Strava update that broke things.

You’re a star…:star:

Doesn’t seem to have fixed the history workouts. Anybody else seeing this?

Still not working for me - other than using the Garmin workaround.

It didn’t work for me either until…

I started the Strava app, selected ā€˜Profile’, selected the settings cog, then selected ā€˜Applications, Services, and Devices’, and found that ā€˜Health’ was not connected. I clicked ā€˜Health’, ticked the boxes and voila, the app now syncs with the watch and HealthFit.

I’m still having problems on and off.
Automatic sync is great if it works. Pull down and refresh is cool. But, I wish there was another way to ā€œclickā€ send to… then, if it failed, it would say so and maybe why.

Strava told me today, that they dont support Zwift uploads to Apple Health from the iOS Update Yesterday.
