Sometimes when I press the “gear up” button once to change to a harder gear, it will instantly shift up to the hardest gear (gear 24), then become unresponsive for about 30 secs before allowing me to shift down again. Very frustrating during a race on a 15% hill!!!
Now onto my second zwift click after the first would drain battery crazy-quick. Is this just another hardware issue with the click button “sticking” , or is it software/connection related?
Hi @Andrew_Wilson5, thanks for reporting this situation. We haven’t received more reports like this one. Would you please, give it a try to these few things listed in this [article] (Controls Not Working on Zwift Click)?

I have got the same Issue.
Usually this happens in the first part of the ride and on gear +. This ends up in rapidly going through all gears until 24. After that I can start gear - to get to the gear I want.
Also I experienced this after workouts when switching to freeride afterwards.
