Zwift click getting crashed when pairing

Hey all,

I’ve run into the same issue a couple of times and I’m wondering if anyone else has seen this.

Setup: Kickr Core 2 with Zwift Cog + Click v2, running Zwift on Android (Samsung S21), firmware up-to-date.

I’m not 100% sure if there’s a specific sequence that triggers it, but it usually happens when I pair the Zwift Click via Bluetooth, then pair the trainer via WiFi, then unpair the Click and try to pair it again. After that, the Zwift Click just… disappears. It won’t show up in the pairing screen, and pressing any button does nothing — no LED, no response, like the whole thing crashed.

I’ve tried restarting Zwift, the trainer, the phone, Bluetooth, all that. No luck.

The only workaround that has consistently fixed it is opening the Click, pulling the battery, and popping it back in. Once I do that, the LEDs flash again and it shows up right away.

Does anyone know if there’s a hidden reset combo or long-press option? Being able to reset it without taking the battery out would be super handy.

Thanks!

Alejandra here from Zwift!

I’d like to recommend that you make sure the back screws are fully tightened and that the battery has been placed in the correct direction on the Zwift Click. Additionally, you can try replacing the battery.

I also want to recommend that for pairing purposes, you try using one connection in this BLE. Pair your trainer and Zwift Click via BLE and see how it performs.

If the issue persists afterward, please feel free to contact us, and we will be happy to assist you further.

Have a nice day.
