I just completed Race 1 of the Zwift Academy.
Even though I was 2nd in the 30 minute race my result on Zwift power was 8th.
I don’t get it.
I was under the impression it was a race, and not placing participants randomly in the event.
Any help appreciated.
Same here. Seems the results are in order of finish time, which is only a couple thousandths of a second between finishers since we all stopped at 30 mins.
That is crazy… why call it a race?

ZwiftPower is not able or is not very good at handling the results of time based races. The order of the race results on ZP is random, much like a timed group ride. Although race results on ZP are treated as the ‘real’ results of a race you need to ignore them for this race.
You will notice that on Zwift Companion App the race results are shown in the correct order and your ZRS race points calculated correctly.
I believe Zwift is not spending much time or effort on ZwiftPower so I would not expect things to be improved in this area.

just had the same, 6th on the companion app, 20 odd on ZP
given its likely not all the people in it are on ZP, chances are Ive lost a podium or even a win potentially
and indeed it would have been 2nd place, annoying
