WTRL adressed an issue with PEN start delay for some SEMI FINALS events. There were a huge delay like 19min instead of 1min for PEN B.
Now its completly messed up for some events. For example: All the Pen B starters are now in E, etc. If you click the RacePass you are back in B. A riders swapped to PEN C. And C to PEN A.
The description does not fit, too. Pen B has no wattage constraints, E should ride with 3,2 - 4; C with > 4W/kg.
Event: WTRL RACING SEMI FINALS - Mixed EMEA Plate (East2) - and others
We hope that will be clear tomorrow. @James_Zwift
I wouldn’t be surprised if removing the wattage constraint is part of their plan for B cat - that is the problem child, that they(and zwift) simply don’t want to address. Remove the limits, say you are experimenting with the algorithm and then let everyone crack on for the 2 races.
I don’t think so. B cat is free and A cat should relax at < 3,2 W/kg
It should be fixed for the events.
thank you!
How are Zwift hoping to nail the comms on CE when the biggest Zwift backed racing league are refusing to adopt it and promoting their own (ironically named) ACE?
It’s all very CVR… Let’s hope they go the same way.
so is this no longer sanctioned as a zwift organised race?
I think CVR was a much better race series.
It is not fixed until now. Since WTRL is doing the results, it could be ok? But the riders need to swap back to their correct A,B,C PEN.
For example
Event Id: 2994630
Doesn’t the racepass force you into the correct category?
No, it’s all over the place, we’ve got D riders in A pens and some teams split into different pens depending on when they clicked the link. But apparently you are fixing it?
Tuesday is the new Monday.
For some reason there’s no Plate competition in EMEA D. Which is a shame.
Probably because it was a big mess initially (earlier yesterday, there were 41 teams in Cup and only 6 in Plate). I emailed WTRL where Martin told me it was working fine (where have we heard that before?), but it now looks like he’s taken a closer look and dumped D all into Cup because it was too complicated to fix properly.

I see they are now referring to the cat boundaries as a guide…
I’m off to Race in Cat C next season.
suspect that is just due to numbers of teams in d. With the reduced teams they can fight it out for the cup and spork
as for the whole CE v ACE thing this is a total mess. I have no problem organisers using their own category system but when WTRL are pigging backing on ZRL event it very much comes across as a Zwift supported approach which is competing directly with CE.
Riders need simpler processes not wondering what cat they will be in from one week to the next so hopefully WTRL/Zwift see some sense and stop the constant rule changes and trials of ACE in Zwifts headline racing event.
Wtf! Where?
