I have this same issue. Hopefully they can resolve this quick. After all, we are all paying monthly memberships that aren’t cheap!
Same issue here. On 10.11.16 and only a white screen. Hopefully will be solved as new computer kit is not an option whereas cancelling Zwift is!
I have the same issue on both my mac mini and my macbook. I contacted Zwift already before checking here (I don’t ever read the forums), but it seems like others have the same issue. Bummer. I really wanted to spin my legs out today after my runs over the weekend. I’m sure Zwift is looking into it already, but I do hope they get it sorted. I tried restarting my computers and reinstalling Zwift, but nothing worked. Like others mentioned, I don’t wanna upgrade to Mojave either.
Same issue here. I’m running Zwift on my retired iMac and maxed out on OS updates at El Capitan (10.11). Should still be supported according to guidelines, but nada on the screen. Emailing support today and will post if I get a response.
I ended up updating OS to Mojave (succumbed!).
It now works for me.
Hope you get a fix and thanks.
Nick
Nick I might just do the same as I really wanna spin before work tomorrow. I decided to run tonight afterwards because I actually have time. Most of my training is first thing in the am. Glad to know it worked after updating to Mojave, just don’t wanna!
I’m another one running 10.11 and only getting a white screen when running the Zwift launcher, I don’t have an option to upgrade to the OS though. Is there any news on a fix?
Same issue here, was wanting to get back to Zwifting now winter weather has arrived, but just getting a white screen. Can’t upgrade to Mojave as old MacBook already getting pushed to its limits and only used for Zwift.
Hopefully another solution is put forward soon.
Yep here too - frustrating to say the least !
Hello
I have the same issue and don t know what to do
@Remy_MARY What are your system specs?
@dyesie What are your system specs?
Mac
Envoyé de mon iPad
I’m also having this problem. Supports suggestion was upgrade to Mojave. Once I explained that I can’t (my MacBook Pro isn’t supported), the only suggestion was a) use another device, b) buy a new device.
My device is:
MacBook Pro (15-inch, Early 2011) (MacBookPro8,2)
2.3 GHz Intel Core i7
16 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
AMD Radeon HD 6750M 1024 MB
OS X El Capitan 10.11.6
I have discovered that I can run the app directly (skipping the launcher) from ~/Library/Application Support/Zwift/ZwiftApp, but I assume this will skip the auto-updater. Works as a short term solution though (as long as no new worlds come along!)
Also, if it helps anybody (does anybody from Zwift check here?), this is my launcher log:

I have the same problem and I can’t upgrade. Support must give us a solution, they can’t make us buy a new computer. I opened though terminal, but I don’t think is the solution.
why not?
Zwift is growing features is getting more advanced, users is getting more - therefore the load on users systems is going to increase to a point where 8year old hardware won’t be able to work.
These paid users are adhering to published minimum requirements. Now if Zwift was to announce changes to minimum requirements in an effective way, that’s another story.
The affected users in this case look like to be simply caught by a launcher mismatch scenario from client to server causing launcher issues on an approved OS.
If that’s the case, and if that’s the official Zwift attitude, we may have to part company and I may have to look elsewhere for a cycling app.
I like Zwift but I’m dammed if I’m going to shell out for a new computer, just for the privilege of using it !!!
You are not the only one that offer bike simulators. I have more than the minimum specifications and that is why I become a member a few weeks ago. I really didn’t like at all you reply and makes me think that I probably made a bad decision changing my previous simulator to Zwift. I have received an email that says that the support team is trying to solve the problem in high priority and then you reply me like this. I don’t know who you are in the team, but I am sure that your CEO will not agre with you.
I didn’t want to not be able to ride this morning after an unexpected run yesterday, so I went through and downloaded Mojave. I didn’t really want to, but bit the bullet. No issues with it at all, so that was nice. I’ve been riding for over three years on Zwift and this is my first issue, so in my experience it’s been great thus far. Oh, and since I rode on ERG this am, when I turned my iPad on it didn’t read anything, so make sure you update other devices to make sure they sync as well. Once I did that there were no other issues. Cheers.
