Zwift on MacOS

Zwift doesn’t seem to work at all on my MacBook. I’ve updated my Mac to the newest version, have downloaded and redownloaded the Zwift launcher but am just met with a white screen anytime I try to launch the app. Has anyone else experienced this, and can give some advice?

Can you provide:

MacOS Version (Go to Apple menu > About this Mac and click on the version number, it will show something like: 15.0 (24A335)

Computer model: Click Apple Menu and hold down Option key then choose System Information, you will be able to get it from the hardware overview. Do not copy the serial number(!)

Graphics/Displays: If your Mac has a dedicated GPU, go to this section to show the information on it.

Hi,

The version is 24A335

HI @Luke_Allen, welcome to Forums. I’m Juan from Zwift.

Thank you for keeping us updated! You did a great job confirming your macOS version. Crashes and freezes can often stem from outdated graphics drivers, so it’s important to check if they are current. Typically, updating macOS will include the latest graphics drivers as well. But it doesn’t hurt to check.

If the issue persists, the best course of action is to reach out to us at support@zwift.com for personalized assistance. We will be happy to drill down on this.

The only way to update them is if an OS update is available.

That’s the latest version available (Sequoia) so we can guess this is a fairly new Apple Silicon machine or one of the last of the Intel Macs.

Next step is to get the computer model - eg Mac Pro 7,1.

It’s possible to completely reinstall macOS but I don’t recommend it - except as a last resort if other things are also misbehaving outside of Zwift (eg the computer crashes).

It’s a MacBook Air M1 from 2020

You can safely ignore the suggestion to update your video drivers. It’s not possible. The problem is something else.
