Which type of Garmin can be paired?

Hi!

I am fairly new to Zwift and I am starting to shop for a watch that can be paired to Zwift. I do some indoor cycling, but also outdoor cycling and running! I don’t want to buy the most expensive one considering that I’m just a casual cyclist / jogger. I was looking the Vivoactive 3. Any feedback on the eatch itself? Does it pair to Zwift directly?

@Christopher_Da_Silva what are you wanting out of the watch connection? Currently Garmin watches can only broadcast HR (some models, look under the specs for any fitness tracker/watch you are looking at to see if it has this capability). Personally I find chest HR more accurate than wrist. As far as actually connecting it, all most Garmin devices communicate via ANT+ (so you would need an android phone or PC/Mac with an ANT+ dongle) to connect to Zwift. Some of the newer watches (Fenix 6 series I believe) can broadcast HR in BLE

If you insist on going with a Garmin watch I would suggest this one: Garmin Forerunner® 245 | Running Watch

And this is why: Garmin Adds Bluetooth Heart Rate & Running Data Broadcasting for FR245/FR945 | DC Rainmaker

Thanks!

Do you have any other suggestions? Other brand?

For HR I would go with a chest strap based one.

I would like to be able to see HR with Zwift but also speed, pace, HR while running or biking outside. I’m really just a beginner.
