I came up with a simple (pretty dumb really) but effective way to hang my wheels up when my bike is on the trainer for extended periods.
I used to keep them on hooks, but I run tubeless, so I worried about the sealant inside pooling in the lower part of the tire and forming a blob there. I would take them down maybe once per week and flip them over to prevent this, but now I have a super-easy, cheap solution, and it’s not even close to rocket science.
My wheels are thru-axle, so I found some cheap 7/16" stainless steel tubing (I tried some 12mm but it was ever so slightly too large) on the Bezos site along with some cheaper 7/16" rubber caps, bored 2 holes into a stud, and slid the cut-to-length tubing into the holes. Now when I happen to walk past, I just give them a spin to keep the latex inside from solidifying into a lump. Easy-peasy. Yes, they are spinning in the photo.
Also, dig that 1970s grass wallpaper!
