Hi @James_Pruett welcome to Zwift forums.
That looks like a Computrainer. Before you spend money on a thru-axle adapter for wheel-on trainers like this - know that while using a Computrainer in Zwift is possible - are you comfortable with under-the-hood Windows technology? You’ll also need an adapter cable that converts the serial data from the trainer to USB. Did the used trainer also come with that included? If you’re not confident with old tech - you may be much better served with a contemporary smart trainer supported by a manufacturer that is still in business.
To answer your question: there are several thru-axle standards with three common thread pitches that are not interchangeable. Trek mostly uses the coarsest thread pitch, called the Maxle standard. It’s a 12 mm x M1.75 thread pitch. Knowing this, you’ll also have to measure the total length of the thru-axle you have, which has to accomodate the thickness of both rear dropouts. The 142 mm or 148 mm dimension does not include the dropout dimensions.
There are aftermarket companies that make many converters thru-axle. A US based brand is robertaxleproject.com, and their axle finder will help you navigate exactly which to order.
