I have been using Zwift for about two years now. At age 74 I am not a racer, so I either ride solo, with a bot, or on friendly group rides (EZR, HERD, etc.) In all of these I have been diligently poking the group Ride-On on my Companion app and spreading Ride-On thumbs as much as I can until it stops working (I hit everybody nearby). In that effort I also collect quite a few Ride-Ons myself. My question is: What the heck are Ride-Ons good for? I have used EXP points on bikes and wheels, but do Ride-Ons have any inherent game value besides just goodwill?
It’s mainly just goodwill, but there is some game value.
When you get a ride-on you earn drops at an increased rate for 15 seconds or something. And there are a few badges for receiving certain numbers of ride-ons during an activity.
