I have been Zwifting almost from the start with no tech issues. Recently, perhaps after an update, workout mode no longer control the power at the trainer. If the work is calling for 200w, I can pedal whatever cadence and power I want. It is not holding the power at 200. I am also not seeing ‘controllable’ anywhere on the pairing page.
I am on BT and ANT+ with a dongle on the floor. None of the equipment or household modems have changed. I have tried pairing the resistance and the power sources as either BT or ANT+ (as ANT+trainer). I have reinstalled Zwift and I have updated my Wahoo. Do I need to toggle something on the kickr to ERG?
Hi @Ian_MacLeod, welcome to the Forums! I’m Francisco from Zwift Support.
It sounds like your trainer isn’t showing up as controllable, which is why ERG mode isn’t holding you to the target watts. One thing you can try is pairing through the Zwift Companion app as a Bluetooth bridge. This often helps clear up connection issues and ensures your trainer broadcasts properly to Zwift.
Make sure your trainer is connected to the Companion app on your phone, and then select it as the controllable device in Zwift. Many riders find that this resolves pairing matters when ANT+ or direct Bluetooth isn’t stable.
