The KICKR v5 has DIRCON.
The CORE does not.
That takes memory to support whether or not it is being used.
When virtual shifting was announced, Wahoo never said it was going to be supported on the v5, but they would work on trying to get it to work.
Go back and look at some of the other threads where this was discussed at length.
You can see a conspiracy all you want, but it is simply a hardware issue.
