Upcoming Changes to Supported Operating Systems [Effective August 2022]

Coming tomorrow

Well my Mac is dead now. Running MacOS 10.13.2 on a Mac Mini Server 2012 with the external GPU. This OS is the last version for the Mac Mini which supports the external GPU on Thunderbolt so no upgrade is possible. The Mac is powerful enough to run Zwift at Ultra - 2048 - maximum detail at 40 FPS crowded, but that is not good enough for Zwift. The Mac Mini chugged along just fine for 4 years running only Zwift. This bothers me a great deal that my dedicated computer is no longer usable. I’ll decide this autumn if it worthwhile to buy a new computer and renew the subscription. I’ve been on Zwift for 5 years and used it a lot in the past.

Chuck the GPU in a cheap Windows desktop. Will cost very little to knock up a dedicated Zwift PC, fully supported.

Use OCLP and install macOS Big Sur (11.6) on your Mac Mini server.
