I have the same issue after update
Same issue here after the update, but with an Elite Tuo.
Connected over ANT+, calibrated today without any success.
Also significantly lower power readings when free riding than before the update.
I also tried to use my Stages power meter for the power readings - same issue.
the update has been rolled back, check again and see if it is working now.
Thanks for letting us know!
I can see that the game version is reverted to 1.56.0.
However, after spinning for just a few hundreds meters just now I would say that the power numbers still are wrong.
For example, yesterday it was smooth sailing to maintain 170-180w for a long time but when I tested 5 mins ago my legs are starting to burn just a couple of hundred meters in. A bit exaggerated but I would say that it was 30-40 % less effort to keep 170-180w yesterday than it is now.
Hi Paul, thanks for that. Iāve actually calibrated everything 4 times in the last four uses. I do use a trainer tyre with correct pressure. As I said, it might a bit of a reach, and I think it is. Iāve having a couple of medical things going on so itās more likely that than the trainer. Iāve even uninstalled zwift and zwift companion twice to see if that had any effect, but no. Thanks again, ride on!
I have the same issue, also wrote about it just now in another thread here on the forums with the thread topic āERG mode with Tacx Flux S not workingā.
Everything was fine yesterday, but the issues occured today after the update.
But even after reverting to 1.56 the issue persists.
Iām on an Elite tuo (and Stages power meter - also same issue with low power numbers).
Hello @Alexander_Alex , could you confirm whether your power numbers are showing up correctly in the My E-Training app or a cycling computer? It sounds like this may be related to power-reporting, rather than a change made in Zwift 1.57.0
Thanks for passing along this information.
Hi, thanks for the reply.
I will check that tomorrow to rule out any issues there.
Same here. Mine is a Tacx Flux 2
Having issues with my resistance on a Tacx flux S. noticed on the tdz innesbrook ride two days ago, felt like resistance was stuck on and would not release right from the start (on 0% incline). I disconnected Bluetooth, turned off and on the Tacx then reconnected and was fine.
Went on this morning on a free ride and the resistance did not replicate what was onscreen. It felt like it was slowly pulsating on and off.
Apple TV 4K (gen 3)

Connected via companion app
Everything is on latest firmware

What version of Zwift are you running on your ATV? You should be on 1.57.1 which has rolled back the changes made in 1.57.
Both of these rides were on 1.57. Will check if the new update has fixed the issue tomorrow
Not a Tacx but I have a Wahoo Kickr bike (the original model with tilt) and the last few structured workout rides on it Iāve noticed two issues, on with resistance where it never seems to get to the resistance the workout is showing (i.e. today I was doing the 20/40s workout 20 second on 40 off and I think it was supposed to go between something like 385 Watts for 20s then 40 sec at 95. Iād start my spin up about 2 seconds in front of the arch and it would jump through 250 up to around 370 and then never get to 385, other times itād get to 385 then drop back down to 370 or so. The best I could do was build hard then back off the cadence and then it seemed to come to around 380. Previously this had worked (and yes I know the shorter ones arenāt the best for ERG mode but I was seeing similar stability issue on higher wattage 1 minute efforts two days ago)
The second issue is it says steering is connected but I cant steer using the buttons now. Iāve seen this get broken before. Unfortunately I donāt know anyway to figure out if the buttons are busted or Zwift is broken, the wahoo app on my phone doesnāt offer that diagnostic.
This is on a Windows PC connected via bluetooth.
same problem here , im using apple tv
same problem here , im using apple tv also
Hi again,
Just want to check back in.
ERG mode still not working in Zwift during an FTP test to confirm power-readings.
Had to adjust by gears instead.
Regarding the power-reporting Iāve tried with connecting the Elite tuo to the My E-training app and the Wahoo elemnt cycling computer separately. The power-readings are low there as well. I also did a new FTP test in Zwift to confirm. Previous FTP was 234w, now Iām at 189w (2,2 w/kg). A sudden 19 % decrease. Iām in no way a well-trained rider, but Iām not untrained.
Nothing makes sense at this point⦠For example, I will not be able to make the 2 hour āVƤtternrundanā ride tommorrow, which I think is a zone 2 ride for the average rider.
I guess the power-readings arenāt a Zwift issue at this point, but the ERG mode might be?
It is just so strange that everything has been fine for several months until yesterday when the update was released. Fine meaning power-readings that I hope would/should be ānormalā for me.
Is there anything else I can try at this point?
Iāve already calibrated the trainer.
I am just in disbelief that my FTP would be 2,2 w/kg after training and cycling quite a lot the past year.
Have a nice weekend!
EDIT: Just tried a workout - ERG mode started to work for no obvious reason. At this point I think I have to accept that the power-readings from two separate sources are valid and that I am weak as hell. Unfortunately the Stages meter is new so I have not tried it indoors and compared to the Elite tuo before. If I wouldāve done that I would likely have seen a discrepancy between the two earlier.
I noticed trainer resistance control does not work on Makuri Islands but works on Watopia. Started riding Makuri 40 (which begins near a short climb reaching 10%) and resistance did not increase. Tried restarting the ride, paired the sensors again (Elite Suito as power source, resistance and cadence via Bluetooth) but still no resistance change. Then moved to Sugar Cookie and resistance change worked normally.
Not sure if this is the same problem but have watt bike atom (new one) connected to Zwift on iPad via Bluetooth. The iPad downloaded a new version today before the ride. Was riding in the herd ride around 2pm London time and (after about 50mins of the ride) gears ramped to 21/22 level and refused to come down again. After a couple minutes it eventually responded and I could control again but then a few minutes later it was back up to 21 (from 10/11 lvl) and would not come down so I ended the ride. Latest Zwift software, nothing else connected. The gears had behaved perfectly before.
Welcome any suggestions.
Thanks
Chris
