My Tri bike and Gravel bike are headed to the pain cave for winter training. I’m considering purchasing a second trainer so I can leave both bikes set up for riding, each bike on it’s own trainer. Does anyone have experience with two trainers linked to one account? I’m not sure if Zwift supports this combination. Only one bike and trainer would be active at a time.
Sure this will work. I advise powering off the trainer you are not using to avoid any pairing issues. Run the game on only one device to avoid confusing it.
I do this often.
I have a KICKR SHIFT that I primarily ride.
I also have KICKR ROLLR that I use occasionally to mix things up.
Since they use different power bricks, I do as @Paul_Southworth mentioned, and unplug the one I’m not using from the wall.
My main monitor is on a swing arm so I can swing it in front of the ROLLR when I’m using that. The monitor setup also works for when I want to run using Zwift, I move the treadmill in where the ROLLR is. I have also actually set the ROLLR up on top of the treadmill belt in the past when I didn’t feel like moving the treadmill.
It’s no problem - I’ve used a Tacx Neo 2T on Zwift with a Cervelo P5 on that, alongside a Wahoo Kickr bike.
It’s not really any different to facing a smart trainer and power meter pedals. Just be sure to select the right trainer at startup.
I have one bike/two trainers (Wahoo Kickr and Wahoo Core). Yes, they are both on one account and work well. But my power is quite a bit different depending on which trainer I use. I wonder how Zwift interprets my stats. On the easier to pedal Kickr, I’m in a significantly higher watts/kg range than I am on the Core. Does Zwift “see” me now as 2 different riders, each on a different trainer, or is it making me into a blend of both riders?
It doesn’t care about which trainer you are using. The account has PRs or FTP estimates based on whichever trainer produces the highest numbers.
Thanks Paul — good to know my FTP won’t get dragged down by the Core!
The only way that could happen is by doing an FTP test on the Core but that’s something you can adjust manually to any value you want
No plans to do a FTP test anytime soon! ![]()
