Turn off challenge pop-up

Hey All

Long time Zwift user here…recently once I’ve just started a group ride I get this very annoying large popup that I cannot figure out how to turn off? Never signed up for any challenges!

Looks like it’s popping up, as you’re currently on (and completed) the “Ride California” challenge.

There are currently two more available, “Ride Italy” and “Climb Mt. Everest”; I’d recommend choosing the Everest one at this moment, as the bike unlock at the (second, and somewhat hidden) end is probably better/more useful/prettier than the one from the Italy challenge.

But why bring it up during an event? That seems bad since there is no obligation to care about it

Apparently this started to happen for some people after this change in update 1.71

  • Your selected Zwift challenge (Everest, California, or Italy) is now shown in the Challenges section of the home screen. Zwifters who have completed all three of these challenges will not see this card.

If you have not completed all challenges and the selected challenge is 100% complete, “select your challenge” pops up when you start a ride.

So like the OP, I didn’t recall ever joining a challenge thought it’s certainly possible that I did so inadvertently. Are you saying the only way to get rid of this pop up is to go through the challenges?

In my experience it happens if the selected challenge is already completed. Just select another challenge you still didn’t complete and it shouldn’t pop up again, at least until you complete this new challenge, then if you see the pop-up again you can select the 3rd challenge. Once you finish the 3 challenges, no more pop-ups or challenge info in home screen.
