TRI ACADEMY events disappeared

I wanted to catch up on the FINISH LINE events today and signed up for the events available there via the companion app. 12:30 (UTC +2) Bike TT event completed and registered for 19:30 (UTC +2) run event. I even received a notification that the event was about to start, but when I wanted to join the event I got the message “Event no longer available / Oops, something went wrong”. I relied 100% on the Companion App and have only now read in the Tri Academy FAQ that the event will end at 10:00 UTC. But why are events still being displayed after the end - I can understand that I should have read a little more here too. My mistake was apparently relying on the guided tour of the TRI Academy via the Companion App. Of course, I am now too deeply disappointed not to be able to graduate from the Academy this year - for the first time :frowning:

Thank you anyway and greetings from Austria,
Martin

Similar experience today. I did the 11:30 AM EST (UTC -5) 10k race. It showed as the Tri Academy race, and everything looked normal but when I finished, poof, everything switched to a normal Zwift run, no Tri Academy confirmation at all. No idea what happened, but the results in zwiftpower are “Finish Line Run”. Hoping the results posted, but no way to confirm.

I’ve logged into Zwift on the bike, and the Tri Academy info is gone now there, too.

Me too. I have 2 events scheduled for today to finish it off. This is not right.

I had planned my schedule a week in advance. Events that i signed up for were removed with no warning.

Same here. Very annoying, removing scheduled events like that is not OK. Totally destroyed both the training plan and the fun of the Academy.

In addition its also very annoying that the progression bar in companion disappeared as well (atleast it have done so for me). Compared to both ZA Road and ZA Run where it was available for recap after the actual event.

Such a boring end to the Academy :frowning:

Perhaps ZWIFT can set up a couple of make-up events retrospectively in order to be able to solve precisely such problem cases

That would be great but based on experience with people loosing events, routes and items I dont think something like that would happen. I guess the only thing we could wish for is that its better managed in the future :crossed_fingers:

Yes I had the same experience today. Planned out a specific finish line run, tapered for it and then it completely disappeared. Incredibly annoying and very unprofessional from Zwift.

I think I remember the original end date of of the academy as December 14th 2:59 PST. Now it’s showing 24 hours earlier on the 13th. Covering their tracks.

So I scheduled my Finish Line TT via the Zwift companion app for today at 17:30pm, I logged in and did the event no problem. However, It has not updated on my Zwift Academy website. :exploding_head:

I don’t think this is correct. I had previously noted the 13th as the last day. Doesn’t excuse deleting events ahead of schedule of course.

Same here! Very frustrating. I was registered through the companion app but when I logged in at the time of the event it wasn’t there anymore… very sad as I planned everything in order to ensure I completed all the steps by dec 13…

:man_shrugging:t2: really not sure what messed up here to cause the events on the last day to disappear. Sure would appreciate an explanation.

This is poor management by Zwift
It happened to me as well; planned how to finish the Tri Academy with the finish line run yesterday evening (13th). It was scheduled in the Zwift Companion app where I enrolled and got a note to attend. But no event showed up when I started zwifting.
This is really disappointing as I have made great effort to be able to finish the academy to be able to be in the loop for a possible spot on the Academy team. As I don’t have a treadmill at home, I have had to purchase a membership on a gym and had to travel back and forth. I had fired myself up for the finish line run yesterday, and I was really dissapointed when it all fell apart.
So what I am left with is a bad feeling on zwift and a knee injury probably induced by the unfamiliar academy speedwork workouts on the treadmill. :face_with_head_bandage:

Zwift can be great, but these things should not happen.
Attached is a screenshot of the companion app showing that there is actually a scheduled finish line run today at 07:30 CET (14th of Dec). I am able to enroll to the event, but when I start Zwift there is noe such event existing…

Same here, the Last ride scheduled to start in 22 minutes is completely gone.

I guess that I can do the ride on a TT-bike for 40k and manually compare the times, but it does sting a bit not finishing the academy propper. :pensive:

Super that you made some Screenshots - I am really looking forward to an answer from ZWIFT regarding that issue :innocent:  :face_with_monocle:

Same issue here. Missed the Baseline run, so did sign up for the event on the 13th. It even said “Finished event” in the race summary. It did not register on my ZA dashbord, so I’m 13/14 completed.

I have no words….I planned my training around the academy to ensure I complete the stages. I even had glitches with my heart rate monitor so re did the stages to ensure it recorded. I sustained a groin injury so decided to rest for a few days and booked the final events as it said it ended on the 13th. Like yourselves I booked and when I went to start, it was no longer available. Upset is not a strong enough word to convey how I feel. This is not the way to do things - I invested money in terms of a gym membership for the treadmill, the cadence sensor and time. Zwift should put up the final TT and run for one day to allow us to complete it and be entered into the application process as it was no fault of ours.

I have also noticed that I have not received any gear for the cycling despite only missing only the Finish-line ride. Sent an E-mail asking them if they can open some finish-line events to allow people to complete the Academy. Hopefully they are listening to the users that got screwed and are taking steps to fix this situation.

Same for me. I’d completed 13 of 14 events and was signed up to one of the scheduled Finish Line TT rides to complete the Academy.

I went to do my ride and discovered that it, and all the other scheduled events for the day, had been deleted.

Something or someone at Zwift made a mistake, either with scheduling the events or with deleting them, so this ought to be rectified.

Very much agreed. I had the exact same frustrating experience.
